Weather, Tuesday June 18, 2013 - 9 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. PLAYer/PAR

Plans are to have the PLAYer/PAR class today, Tuesday, June 18. We may or may not be able to get on the golf course but this is a great time to review and cover the life skill portion of our program which is essential to success in The First Tee.
Please be prepared for your child to play or participate and perhaps get a little wet should we decide that course play is okay. We play many times in light rain, but generally do not play in heavy rain. We are always aware of thunder and lightning, so we do not play when storms are in the area or if a storm comes up while we are playing, we immediately leave the course and seek shelter. The Wasioto Winds golf course cart barn is a weather shelter approved by the National Weather Service.

9 - Hole Junior Series Tournament

Beginning, June 6, 2013 we will begin our Summer 9-Hole Tournament Series. The cost to join the series is $25, with each participant receiving a Tournament Series golf bag tag and a logo backpack. We have several Divisions by age and gender. Boys and Girls 10 and under, Boys and Girls 11-12, Boys and Girls 13-14, and Boys and Girls 15 and up. For each tournament played the cost is $10.
Participants that played in the 2013 Spring Series in March and April are already members of the Tournament Series so the only cost to them will be $10 per tournament played.
This is an open tournament, so we invite male and female golfers to participate, even if you are not a member of The First Tee Pine Mountain. This is a great way to get ready for your school golf or to work on your skills for other competitive events.
